I think capsaicin, the active component in chillies, is a toxin at at higher doses, then yes, very dangerous. Do NOT get the appeal myself!!!

I like hot spicy Indian food (and hot spicyMexican, Chinese, Thai, etc) but not to the point of making me sweat and physically ill!
